Emily Procter

 

American actress Emily Mallory Procter, born October 8, 1968 is also an activist. She was Ainsley Hayes's role in The West Wing, a NBC political drama (2000-2002; 2006), and Det. Calleigh Duquesne was a CBS police procedural drama titled CSI: Miami (2002–2012).



 



 Early life



 Procter was born on October 8, 1968. William Procter, an obstetrician had adopted her as an infant . She was also adopted by Barbara Jones, a volunteer worker. She was raised in Raleigh. She was three years young when her parents split up. Whit is her older brother and is also an adopted child.



 



 Ravenscroft School was where Procter was educated in Raleigh. While studying at East Carolina University, she became a part of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and was employed as a TV weather anchor for WNCT-TV in Greenville, North Carolina, eventually graduating with degrees in dance and journalism.
